Game to Garden - 2021 (w/ Steven Bajmakovich)
This project was born out of a passion for both gardening and gaming; it evolved from a gardening pamphlet, then into a plant lighting simulator, and finally into a friendly board game.
Steven and I wanted to not only create an engaging game experience but also educate others on the simplicities and curiosities of gardening itself. I focused more on the game side (creating prototypes, graphics, and play elements) while Steven brought in his gardening skills to inform the game functions, while also doing some real gardening like above.
Another focus was to keep the game diverse and accessible for our playtesters and audience; each element of the game was easy to print and organize while we were still able to include multiple different cultures and recipes from across the globe.
Treetop Domain - 2021 (w/ Steven Bajmakovich)
This collaborative board game project was born created in under 48 hours for a university-sponsored Game Jam.
Tasked with creating an experience that involves teamwork and inclusion, Steven and I built the game around a theme and idea that personified the traits of the game, while promoting the wild ecology around us.
Modular Environmental Toy - 2020
Created through the process of "toy hacking" - breaking down the toy industry and analyzing what opportunities there were for positive growth in the market.
The project ranged from analysis to the first round of prototyping and testing; the final goal of the project was to conduct user testing and create a hypothetical product pitch.
